Bridal Shower Maid of Honor Duties
Have you been asked to be a maid of honor? If so you must be very excited as this is a great honor and one that not many women get a chance to experience. Along with this honor comes great responsibility as well. You need to make sure you know all about your “maid of honor duties” before things really get going. Below I outline a few things you will need to make sure and do before the big day even arrives.
The first maid of honor duty that you need to make sure and plan is the bridal shower. Typically it will take about 3 months to plan the bridal shower. And with each month prior there will be things you need to take care of. As the maid of honor you will need to find a good place to hold the shower, consult the bride on the guest list, mail out invitations and buy supplies.
The second maid of honor duty you will need to take charge of is the bachelorette party. This needs to be a fun and exciting event for the bride, so be sure and plan it accordingly. The bachelorette party can have many ratings just like a movie can. Be sure the bride is good with a rated R party if that is what you plan. Also make sure and have the bachelorette party on the weekend so that you can get as many of the brides friends to attend as possible.
Being the maid of honor is a great responsibility and cannot be taken lightly. Be sure to make your friend’s wedding and events leading up to it memorable.
